Description Of Work:
Robert came to our home in May of 2011 and gave
us a bid on placing hardwood flooring in our hallway, family room and dining
room. He suggested what type of hardwood would work best for us and the time
frame it would take to complete the job. We decide to wait until fall to have
this work done. Robert said he would contact us in September to discuss
installing our new hardwood flooring. True to his word we were contacted the
first part of September. Robert made another appointment to come and visit us
again to see if we had any additional questions. We asked about placing
hardwood in our kitchen as well. Robert gave us the bid for the kitchen. The
original bid for the hallway, family room and dining room had not changed from
the bid in May. We decide to have all the work done and set a start date.
During this time Robert was always available to answer questions or for
additional home visits. Work began on the first of November and was completed
right on schedule the 16th of November. We did add a few minor changes to the
job but the bid did not change. Robert is a true craftsman and would not leave
any part of the job in which he was not completely satisfied with. I don't think
you can find a more honest, knowledgeable hardwood professional than Robert
Fijor.

My house is a 1927 bungalow. The floors were a
challenge and needed repairs in a few places. Robert was very helpful with
suggestions about how to repair and finish the floor so they last and look their
best. We stained the white oak in the living room to better match the fireplace
and adjacent fir floors. The floors look great and I'm very happy with
them.

bidding job recommending what wood type style
and finish would best suit the space. Arranging product delivery. Subfloor prep
new floor layout, installation and cleanup. previous experience with him doing
all the above plus finishing and matching new work to previous wood
floor.
Member Comments:
Robert installed a beautiful new hickory
hardware floor in the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway for my son's
remodel. The layout was tricky as the hall ended at odd angles leading to the
bedrooms and the living dining room is large, brightly lit and the focal point
of the home. Poor joints and/or poor layout are impossible to hide. Fortunately
Robert did an exceptional job laying out the wood pieces and all the lines and
joints came out straight as an arrow. Robert's work is careful and meticulous
and the results show off his craftsmanship. We had had another company do a
large scale maple floor installation for our own remodel previously which
eventually turned out fine - but they had to redo the final finishing twice to
hide the less than perfect final sanding job. After that experience when we
decided to add wood floors in two bedrooms we got a bid from Robert. He was
highly recommended and we felt fortunate to have him do our job. The tricky part
in the bedroom flooring was, again odd angles to the hallway and making the new
wood floors look continuous to the previous job. All I can say is that he did
truly great work - the result between the floors was seamless and we've received
numerous compliments on how good the floors look. Our latest experience with
Robert's work on my son's remodel was no different. The new wood floors
completely enhance the look of his place. The hickory was replacing a tile
kitchen, dining room and hall and a carpeted living room. Robert was very
helpful in suggesting types of wood and product, finishes and board width. The
result was terrific. I can't imagine anyone better to install or finish wood
floors!
